Happy Howlidays!

Let me start by saying.....WHAT A YEAR!! It's sureal at times to think about how all three of my kids thrilled me throughout 2009. First and foremost, Jazz and I reached the summit of 'our' Mount Everest. Jazz finished his Utility Dog Title in only FIVE attempts (the average is 16 to finish a UD, according to Judge Marion Postgate and Maureen Murray, obedience trainer from TNT Kennels in Abbotsford, BC).

This makes Jazz a CKC CH OTCH dog (Obedience Trial Champion) with a breed Championship as well. An incredible achievement for my Novice A dog, especially given the fact that Jazz had ME, as his very green trainer. I could NEVER have reached this incredible goal without the steady and unwavering support and excellent coaching from my obedience trainer Nancy Dyson. Thanks a million times Nancy, we could have never done it without your friendship, laughter and amazing insight. You are by far one of the greatest trainers and I feel incredibly lucky that you took us on.

UD Leg #2 with a beautiful performance and score of 196 (and a 4th place finish!)

And that all important FIRST UD LEG! I don't think I was ever as excited and thrilled to get that first leg under our belts. And Jazz was awesome, it was under very trying conditions; Q'ing on our first time together in the utility ring!

Not to be outdone, and just as thrilling for me was Ella's year. She finished two titles, her CKC CD and her CKC RA. Given the fact that Ella's never been sound from the time she was twelve weeks old, it is hard to describe the joy I feel every time I get to take her into the ring to compete.

Next on my OMG I can't believe it list :-) is all that my baby Dinah achieved this past year. At 11 months young, Dinah is already a CKC Champion, taking some really incredible wins along the way. It was also really thrilling for me personally, as I learned (well, still learning actually) to handle my own dog in the breed ring. I am super pleased and proud to say that I put half of Dinah's Championship on her myself. She's an incredible little bitch that I am really blessed to share my life with. THANK YOU to Dinah's breeder, Karla Niessing, for entrusting me with 'our' girl! It's been an amazing ride with Dinah already, and we're just getting started!

Dinah and her very happy Momma - she placed first in her VERY LARGE all breed sweepstakes class at the Tradex show (26 bitches entered in her 9-12 month class)

another BOS win with her momma (one of THREE BOS wins that weekend, two of them with me handling my girlie!)

one of 5 BEST PUPPY in GROUP placements....

and her first two CKC points BOW in Merritt, BC....thrilled to bits her momma was!

She is a girl that has a ton of working ability - but due to the OCD in her hock  she's been very limited in what she's been able to do. So, it means the world to me to see Ella living up to her potential and doing it in such fine style

NEW CD Miss Ella!  Whatta gal!!! Love you baby bel! I never thought she'd be able to do it (and not because she isn't capable)....that darned leg gets in the way sooo much, so there's no consistency in training..that makes this all the more special!)
